1. Introduction

TapServe ("we", "us", "our") provides QR-based ordering software for restaurants, theatres, cafés and stadiums in India. This policy explains what information we collect through our website (tapserve.in) and applications (admin.tapserve.in, order.tapserve.in, kitchen.tapserve.in), and how we use it.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Venue owner data: name, email, phone number, venue name and address, provided when you create an account.
• Customer order data: table/seat number, order items, and optional customer name, collected when a diner places an order through a venue's menu.
• Payment references: we do not process or store payment card details. UPI payments are made directly between the customer and the venue's own UPI ID.
• Usage data: pages visited, device type, and general analytics collected automatically to improve the product.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to operate the ordering and kitchen display system, generate analytics for venue owners, send push notifications for new orders, provide customer support, and improve TapServe's features.

4. Data Storage and Third Parties

Venue and order data is stored using Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure) and served through Netlify (hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and compliance standards. We do not sell venue or customer data to third parties.

5. Data Isolation Between Venues

Each venue's menu, orders and analytics are stored separately and are not accessible to other venues using TapServe.

6. Your Rights

Venue owners may request a copy of their data, request corrections, or request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting hello@tapserve.in. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cookies

Our website and applications use minimal cookies necessary for login sessions and basic analytics. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

8. Data Retention

We retain venue account data for as long as the account is active. Order history is retained to support analytics features and may be deleted upon account closure request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as TapServe evolves. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
